Sales Development Representative

Overview of role

The Sales Development Representative will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to source, qualify and progress early stage leads through to qualified meetings.

You will have great communication skills, able to match conversations to the audience and quickly assess their needs. You will manage and input prospect data into our CRM system prior to contacting the lead who most likely works within companies in the UK, however the world is your oyster!

This role is perfect for someone starting their sales career or looking to advance their career within a fast-paced tech organisation. You will be given the tools you need to identify targets that will commercially benefit the business.

Responsibilities/Objectives:

Demand and lead generation

  • Work as part of a rotation to manage all incoming calls and enquiries on our website chatbot to engage in conversation and understand their needs.

  • Responsible for prospect qualification to gauge relevant and sufficient level of interest.

  • List generation, creation of mini campaigns and prospect outreach journeys to target contacts in accordance with a scheduled cycle of emails and calls.

Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports on marketing activities and performance.

  • Experience capturing and collating a range of data points and drawing conclusions and insights from them to inform future marketing activities.

  • Comfortable presenting these reports to the Head of Marketing and other internal stakeholders.

Team & communication

  • Stay consulted and informed by marketing about upcoming campaigns and events.

  • Support marketing with their campaigns as required.

  • Book introductory meetings for the sales team once requirements have been established, and handover all pertinent information, attending further meetings if required.

  • Stay up to date with other members of the team on industry news, trends and marketplaces of our key sectors

Social media

  • Develop a LinkedIn and public facing profile.

  • Regularly engage with relevant content, and make connections with people to kick off conversations.

Events calendar management

  • Support the businesses virtual and live events calendars by coordinating with the sales and marketing teams.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internally and third party.

Tooling

  • Maintain accurate records on our CRM system Salesforce.

Role Minimum Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience and a proven track record of meeting some, if not all of the responsibilities laid out above.

  • Experience working in a B2B sales environment with the willingness and flexibility to work both independently as well as part of a team would be advantageous.

  • An enthusiasm to learn all about cloud infrastructure and ability to pick things up quickly.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Clear communicator and competent in writing email content, having video calls and phone conversations.

  • Able to adopt the tone of voice of the business and present our messaging in alignment with our brand guidelines.

  • Enjoy working as part of a high functioning team in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with intertwining deadlines while staying focused on the details.

  • Hungry and motivated to grow, learn and progress your career.

  • Target driven.

  • Experience with Salesforce, Apollo or similar software is desired.
